About Me

Swearing In

Hi, I'm Laila.

I've spent my career working at the intersection of politics, government, and civic tech — from presidential campaigns to international elections, from federal agencies to local communities. I’ve partnered with labor unions, nonprofits, and governments across five continents, always with the same focus: how to help as many people, as quickly and effectively as possible.

I’m known as the person you call when the situation is messy, urgent, or uncertain. Whether building teams from scratch, untangling operational challenges, or driving tech modernization builds, I thrive on solving complex problems and making sure the right decisions get made at the right time. Growing up as an expat nomad gave me a perspective that allows me to connect dots across disciplines and cultures — often in ways others don’t see.

At the core of everything is impact. I measure success by whether more people are supported, empowered, and heard because of the work I’ve led. Titles, politics, and procedures matter less to me than the outcome — and I bring creativity, relentlessness, and care to every challenge I take on.

Feel free to dive into my career in public service, my endless creative/maker/building projects, and reach out if you'd like to collaborate.
